"This property was in a great location next to the park and main shopping and dining area. A little separated from the busier area, but still walking distance from everything. Check in was easy. The only thing I would like to add is that the facilities just need adjusting e.g more toiletries to be offered, and things like a iron to be added downstairs if you did need them, and the door slams so maybe a clasp or something to be added to make it quieter for other guests. "The hotel is in a great area of the New Town. Close to restaurants, cafes and shops as well as easy walking to all the main sights. Our room was great - clean, comfortable, brilliant shower and controllable air con which was a huge plus in the unusually warm weather we had! Highly recommended"

"Apex Waterloo Hotel in Edinburgh was newly updated and renovated with onsite dining, bar, indoor pool, gym, sauna and spa. The rooms are comfortable with attractive bedding and bathroom amenities. Dining is very reasonable and the onsite bar is great. Breakfast for a reasonable fee is complete with custom cooked Scottish entrees as well as a buffet bar with fruit, pastries, coffees, and fruit juices. The hotel is in close walking distance to Old Town and New Town including a number of museums, and city parks. If you arrive at EDI airport you can purchase a multi day tram pass that allows cross town trips as well as returning to the airport. The hotel is a short walk to Waverley Train station. Nearby are day trip tours as well as car rental."
