"The property, service and cleanliness were excellent even though they were under staffed it did not affect the service. It was surrounded by commercial businesses which would have put us off booking had we known however, it did spoil our stay it just didn't make for scenic breakfasts. I cannot stress enough how amazing the staff were."

"The hotel was a lovely place to stay. There were some issues with cleanliness in our room, hair in the bathroom, old food packaging under the bed. All issues that are easily resolved. We would stay at the hotel again. The staff were lovely and would do anything to assist you. There is a train station not far that takes you straight into the City centre and takes around 7 minutes. "I cannot fault this property at all. We went as a family of four. From check in to check out, everything was flawless. Our family room with a view over the castle was very clean and comfortable and so was the bathroom. We had drinks and dinner at the restaurant one evening and Martin was very attentive. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Edinburgh. "

"Great stay for visit to the Playhouse. Walking distance from Waverly station, to St James Quarter and Playhouse. Best location for what we we had planned. Floor 0 takes you to Waverly station avoiding all the traffic lights and longer walk to station. Staff lovely, rooms beautiful. "

"Excellent value for location and amenities. About a 10 min walk from Waverley and key sites, nestled between Castle and university yet still quiet at night (I would enthusiastically recommend for families visiting the university). Room was large and had both a bath and a separate shower, as well as a fridge and kettle. Decor was fresh, good quality bedding. Pool and sauna are at larger sister hotel, but gaining access was straightforward. Reception and housekeeping staff at both hotels were absolutely lovely."
