“Clean and tidy and within easy walking distance to the restaurant and bar (Lakeside). The staff were warm and friendly, prompt and professional whilst serving. Highly recommended to visitors. I woul recommend however that the aged or disabled go for Accomodation at the lakeside hotel as there is a 100 yard climb to the lake houses from the restaurant.”

“My wife and I enjoyed a two night b and b stay at this lovely hotel with dinner on the first night. Although parts of the building are Elizabethan the inside decor is quite modern with extensive use of wood. The dining area around the bar is very attractive. The food was good and our waiter was very pleasant. A very good breakfast was enjoyed at a lovely table in the bar area. Our bedroom was lovely and the en suite was a wet room which was great. For some reason it was a little bit too warm...

“Husband stayed here on his own previously on walking trip, bought me this time and we got the 4 poster room, billed as being best room in the Hotel, Room 12. Has dual aspect windows with amazing views and a jet bath. Restaurant and food was amazing. Nice choice of breakfast although trimmed down due to Covid-19. Free toiletries, tea/coffee, bed was very comfy and room very spacious. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Definitely coming back!”
