"Tabacón is an incredible resort! The springs is much larger than you would expect, with many beautiful parts to find privacy and relaxation. The drinks are incredible and views are even better. We indulged in a couples volcanic mud massage- and it was the best massage ever! The spa is beautiful, peaceful and worth it! One thing to consider is that it is a 20minute ride to town, so you are pretty much committed to eating at the resort- which is not cheap. Each drink is $15 and meals are $20 ....

"Amazing hotel next to the rain forest. Wild animals walk around the hotel, you can hear the monkeys in the forest, it's a fascinating place. At the bottom of the Vulcano the views of the mountain are magic. Great pools, including a hot one for those rainy days. Wonderful breakfast. Didn't try the main restaurant as it was too expensive.
