"Wow. This was amazing. I don’t know where to even begin. The ryokan was absolutely beautiful. Yes, like some other reviews said, it was a bit dated but honestly I’m totally ok with that as it keeps the tradition alive. There were tatami floors throughout the ryokan. You are provided a yukata to go to the various onsens. It’s a smaller ryokan with perhaps around 21 rooms or so and that really keeps things intimate. The staff were so friendly and kind. "I originally planned to say at a ryokan, but since I'm traveling during busy season they traditional ones were all sold out. I stumbled upon this property, and I'm so glad I did. I would recommend this property to everyone staying in Hakone. It's central, but more than that it's gorgeous. The garden itself is beautiful with cherry blossoms (during season) and koi fish. There's a hike to the Mt Fuji view which we didn't do this time. The staff member Park was absolutely helpful - she drew us maps...

"We were a party of eight with two seniors and two young kids and all of us enjoyed our stay. The stay was very comfortable and the seafood dinner and Japanese breakfast were both excellent. We would definitely return. Staff were great and super helpful."
