It is on top of a mountain and in the country so you can expect to see bugs in your room like spiders, mosquitos, stink bugs, but they are mostly all harmless and more of a nuisance than anything. "When we arrived in charming Montalcino we were impressed by the grace and beauty of the town. When our GPS told us to stop right in the most picturesque spot, we were thrilled. Our hotel room had a lovely balcony where we sat sipping wine, eating cheese and watching the sun go down. The view looked over the historic fort, the city walls, and off into the Tuscan countryside. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating. I would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly."

"I had read reviews and hotel advertising and seemed worth the additional cost so booked to stay here. I arrived early and found the location problematic because it's on a busy road and there is NO place to park a car. Not even an welcome entrance area so one doesn't know what to do. It meant driving back and forth a few times ending up parking in the gas station across the road. With this being already stressful to then arrive and the main doors locked! 11:30 am!
