"Had an overall great stay! Very clean and nice staff. The only thing that’s negative worth mentioning was that it took a very long time to get hot water in the shower and the tub. And after the hot water was running in the tub there was no way to get the cold water running. Except for this, a comfy bed and nice breakfast made this a nice stop along the way. "

"We stayed for 2 nights. On arrival, the reception staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We went to our room which was a king-size sea view. The view is even better than any picture will have you believe. Breathtaking. Loved having a little balcony with comfortable chairs and just enjoying the view and silence. The room was spotless. "Had a most enjoyable stay at The Old Cottage with wonderful hosts Karen and Darren. Really comfy double bed & great shower. Had the benefit of a gorgeous roaring fire in spacious lounge area at night with lots of DVDs and a library of books about stuff to explore in the local area. Darren and Karen were such lovely people, warm , friendly and gave helpful tips about the locality. Breakfast was fabulous, tasty and varied. "The room was good with a large bathroom and perfectly acceptable. But it wasn't great. No chairs to sit in, only window seats which were uncomfortable. We were in room 1, right by the front door so rather noisy until the restaurant closed and our window (with a great view) was by the front door, so it felt a bit like being in a goldfish bowl. Would I stay again? Maybe, it was OK, just not great."
