“We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. Matthew is a wonderful host, and we felt welcome in his home. The breakfast offerings were top notch, and our room and bed were so comfortable. “first of all there is no elevator which seems strange, as you have to carry your bags . secondly there was no air conditioning. the room was really hot and humid. we could not open the windows as it was right on the road with lot of traffic noise. a small fan was provided which was not helpful”

“The darling couple who own and run the B&B are extremely delightful. Our hostess started us off in the morning with a delightful breakfast, good cup of coffee and good advice or directions to our days activities. She made sure we enjoyed ourselves. The bonus was the view from the property was gorgeous.”
