The staff are excellent, the location is excellent, pool excellent, sunbed booking arrangement stops unnecessary “bed wars”, the accommodation can vary only depending on the room location, not always the view you would love. This occasion we had a fab room, always loads of space very clean. "

"A great hotel, but not a 5 star. Staff service was intermittent, particularly in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner. One dinner was excellent, the next, the fish was over cooked and too salty. Could have been so much better"

"An excellent hotel, really smart and spacious. Staff are very friendly and helpful, every one of them. The food was fabulous every day with good variety. The location on the SW of the island is perfect for watching a lovely sunset over La Gomera each evening. €40 taxi to/from the airport takes under 30 minutes."

"The room was clean enough, although a bit tired and dated. The comfort of the beds wasn't ideal, but the hotel overall was okay and great if within a budget. P.s. dont forget the rooftop area for sunbathing if you prefer it a little quieter. There is a shower to keep cool also."

"The apartments are in a good location and the staff are helpful. It had basic but comfortable furnishings and was spacious with a large balcony. Any problems were dealt with quickly. Shame about the view of the derelict building opposite, but guess they can't do much about that! All in all good value for a central stay if you don't need or want luxury."

"We had some items delivered to the hotel in advance and contacted them to arrange. They were very willing to assist and accommodate this. When we arrived, for some reason hotels.com had told them we were travelling with an infant, which we found amusing for my 13 year old to have to sleep in the cot they had set up for us. "Brilliant stay at the hard rock hotel. 3 pools to choose from, manage to get a lounger no problem. Breakfast was brilliant and you could get a mimosa as you came in to breakfast which was a nice touch. We enjoyed the singers that were on in the evenings, particularly the Queen tribute band. This hotel is a bit further out but we got a taxi for about 22 euros into las americas one night. Check out staff were helpful and stored our luggage and let us keep the towel card until we were leaving. On check in they tried to charge us but we had already paid on Expedia, the manager sorted this and said it was an error on their systems, worth having your booking confirmation handy in case of any issues. We loved our stay! "

"Despite the large size of the property, the grounds were clean and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our room (489) was excellent and we would request it in the future. Dining was everything promised. The seafood was excellent. Sea salt-encrusted sea bass is a MUST! We had a minor issue that one of the property managers, Manuel more than addressed. He promptly corrected the matter and extended a beautiful, private seating with the sunset in the background with champagne and rose pedals all around us. Great property and great location. We will be coming back to Ritz, Abama. "
