"We were pleasantly surprised the lobby was much nicer than the last time we stayed in a Best Western (many years ago). The breakfast was decent, and they had a very nice server to dish up our plates. There was also a specialty coffee machine with various flavors which was very welcome. This hotel caters to families coming in for BMT graduation services at Lackland AF Base so they did a couple of really helpful things: They gave us a print out of the grad events with a map to get to the Base...

"My son was graduating at the military base and this motel was perfect for my needs. The base entrance is only a hundred feet or so from the motel. There's food an stores walking distance from the motel. The room definitely needs a remodel (to be expected at the price), but is was clean and the beds are very comfortable. All the staff I interacted with was very friendly and attentive. "

"The Menger Hotel I think is one of the best locations in San Antonio to stay. You have got everything you need right around the corner. It is safe and the food and entertainment never ends. Staff is friendly and is great for information. Beautiful historical Hotel. Try to stay at least 2 times a year."
