"Excellent value for a sole traveller on the quayside in Bristol. Booked a 6 bed room but was given a 4 bed room. Excellent range of bars and restaurants nearby. Check out a bit early though at 10am , as Breakfast runs to 10 am also. "

"Plus: Warm and dry, and hot water in the showers. Also met some lovely people. Cons: Some of the guests and staff are not so lovely. Some of the men were discussing their experiences with prostitutes in the kitchen (there were children in the room) and one of the guests in my dorm was trying to pick up arguments, talking very loudly, slamming doors etc. Another one was on the phone (in the dorm) until nearly 11pm. There were people drinking alcohol inside the hostel (not sure whether they bought...

"A lovely YHA hotel with comfy beds, cosy duvets and warm and welcoming staff!!"

"Wonderful hostel set in a great oit of the way location. Only major issue is the poor condition of the access road to the propery which is not mentioned anywhere. Take it slow and steady and you'll still ground out the car in a normal car on the pot holes and ruts. I would not even attempt it in a car with lower ground clearance like a MX5 ect as you could cause major damage to your vehicle. This is a real shame as it wouldn't take alot of effort to atleast repair the worst of the pot holes...

"This was the third time we had stayed at the Aztec and we had a fantastic experience. I booked the stay for my wife’s birthday which included the additional access to the spa and a massage. We also booked dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. My wife has very specific dietary requirements and these were all catered for by the Aztec’s wonderful staff. A special thank you to Lucy who looked after our table for our evening meal. She had carefully picked out the dishes which my wife could eat and made suggestions. This personal touch really made our evening. Lucy also presented us with a selection of gluten free cakes after the meal as a little treat for Liz’s birthday, which we were both really taken aback by. So thank you Aztec for making it such a special weekend getaway. Lots of hotels do not pay attention to the little details - the Aztecs staff most definitely did. We will most definitely be returning."
