“Beautiful property, huge pool, variety of restaurants. Slightly isolated from any towns (half hour drive to Tamarindo and they have a shuttle). Walked to a nice beach restaurant, Lola’s. Could advertise that the spa has a sauna, steam room and small pool. Spa prices were high for Central America but service was good. Really enjoyed the Tamarine Restaurant. “We stayed in a Tropicana room across the street from the main hotel in an all adult area with its own pool and bar. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the staff was very polite and helpful. We had massages on two separate occasions and were very pleased. Watching the sunset from the restaurant at the main hotel was spectacular.”

“Beware that this is 4.5 hours away from the San Jose Airport! They do NOT inform anyone of this and you need to get to the Ferry to cross over to Tambor which is not 24/7 You need to plan very carefully so you don't lose a day like I did and so many others did that I met at the Hotel. They are also very aware of this and have done nothing about it!! The buffet food is ok. Not the best, but not the worst. You will find something. The Italian ala carte restaurant is excellent!
