“This is a charming hotel. The rooms are traditional, with some modern upgrades (the TV has a US Roku - a good choice for US visitors, although unfortunately it doesn't really work for UK visitors). “The hotel is next to Port Zante and all the tourists stores for the cruise ships. Good downtown location. Two minute walk to the Ram's large grocery store. My room was large and all the rooms come with a mini kitchen. It was stocked with dishes, glasses, pans, knives, silverware, electric stove, large fridge. The AC is in the ceiling, quiet, and it kept the room cold. My room faced the main street, Bay Road. But, with the windows closed it was quiet. I think it's the best downtown Basseterre...

“It did the job! Reasonably priced, we just needed somewhere to stay the night before transferring to Nevis. It's very well located for the passenger ferry port. The area near the property has some restaurants and bars, almost all un-usable due to extraordinarily loud music. During the day time, shops prop their doors open with massive speakers, blaring ludicrously loud music.”

“The property was being upgraded with an additional floor so there was some excuse able construction and debris but the room is clean and modern. I would recommend.”

“The Golden Rock is a beautiful, low intensity hotel complex, with exceptional gardens. It offers something quite different than other hotels in Nevis.
