I went back downstairs to see why I wasn't in a no-smoking room as requested. The hotel said it was only a request and they did not have any rooms wih two beds that are no smoking. 1. I blame myself for not checking. 2. Expedia needs to know that the hotel has no no-smoking rooms with two beds. I will never stay at the hotel again,...

"I can not more highly recommend Shirouma So! The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel was very comfortable and perfectly situated near the bus terminal, Happo One, and restaurants. The onsen was the perfect way to finish a day on the slopes. The food was excellent and there was plenty of variety - while breakfast is set, it is different every day. I would definitely stay here again!"

"The staff is welcoming and kind, this is a family run business for 6 generations! The half board breakfast and dinner are exceptional, kaiseki style and every dish is presented beautifully. The location is right on the ometesando, lots of foot traffic but quiet. Futons are comfortable. We loved our stay and want to go back!"
