"I cannot put into words how beautiful this resort is and how perfect our stay was thanks to the beautiful staff and service provided. We received the upmost 5 star service everywhere we went around the resort. "We had a large room which was very comfortable. Good AC units, large bed, fridge, and a small counter with toaster and microwave. The TV only had Thai channels, but we were able to stream using the Wi-Fi. The electricity was a little spotty, had power cuts in the village a few times on our first evening. "It was our wedding anniversary and The Sands specially decorated the bed and provided a sponge cake to help us celebrate. We stayed in a ground floor room with direct pool access and it was great for our two young boys. They were 3 other pools as well with the kids pool being a favourite. The resort has direct beach access and is an easy walk to the main stretch of Khao Lak with great dining options and local shopping. Breakfast had a wide selection which easily catered for our varied tastes. The staff were amazing and the rooms were comfortable and clean. We enjoyed an amazing sunset on Christmas day and wished we could have stay longer. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather which was a bonus."
