"There was quite some noise from another of the properties. Furniture or suitcases being dragged across the tiled floor, perhaps. That disturbed me but fortunately I was out at work in the evenings so not for long. Secondly, I would suggest that the property use fewer perfumed cleaning and laundry products. "This is a new, very clean property about a 25 minute walk, or one U-Bahn stop, from the Munich Messe. Very comfortable, and inexpensive compared to other options available. My problem was that any messages I tried to get to the management went unanswered, which disappointed me. This is a residential and light commercial area, the number of restaurants is limited, but all the rooms have kitchens, so I would recommend you eat breakfast in your room and have dinner wherever you are before...

"We chose this location because we were going to Oktoberfest. As far as location, it is perfectly located if you were going to Oktoberfest. It is no more than a five minute walk. Also liked this location because the hotel was tucked away off the street and therefore you didn’t have a lot of noise of people passing by. As far as the room goes. It was clean, but I was disappointed that there were absolutely no towels available or shampoo or tissues. It slept four people, but you are all in one...

"Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a good range of hot and cold food. Staff were great. Location is close to train station and easy to get to main attractions. I felt safe walking alone to and from hotel in evenings though i was usually back to the hotel by 9pm. Trams run past hotel which light sleepers may hear."

"When traveling to Munich, I was more concerned about location than amenities and when I decided to stay at Platzl Hotel, I didn’t expect much for what I paid in comparison to other hotels nearby. What an amazing find and I would recommend for anyone to stay here. It’s such a great value based on its location and amenities. The room is extremely clean, there’s excellent service, a lively bar downstairs and a sauna after a cold, wintry day. It’s in Marienplatz and therefore close to the subway line, but completely walkable with tons of restaurants and high end boutiques for some retail therapy. I’m extremely happy with this hotel. We would love to stay here again. "

Great find, Great Front of House Staff

"What a great find in Munich. First off, it's only a couple blocks from München Hbf (Munich Central Train Station) and from the Old Town where you'll see most of the tourist spots. The room was perfect sized for us with a nice walk-in shower. The biggest plus was the staff manning the front of house. Even though check-in/check-out is automated, the front of house staff was unbelievably helpful with getting us the layout of the hotel and of our neighborhood. Highly recommended!"
