I arrived after a long teip and a very cold day. When i wanted to turn on the heater it didnt work saying its central control. So i had to put on a pullover because i was very cold. The hotels use the excuse of eco-friendly , energy conservation but i woke up coughing and thats ridiculous cilous. Its just being cheap and greedy on their part.

On the Ibis website it is stated that it is free parking based on availability. In practice they charged me Euro 20,- per night in an empty parking garage. When asked why the charge, they stated that the website is outdated and needs an update, it is not free parking anymore.

We had a very pleasant stay. The minimalist style is compensated by extreme cleanliness (the hotel looks and feels new), very very cozy beds, pristine new bathrooms, and very helpful staff. We stayed the night here after the Taylor Swift concert in Gelsenkirchen. We arrived quite late but check-in was quite fast. The room itself was good for the price we paid. However, the bed was a bit on the hard side and the pillows were way too flat, would've been nice to had some extra pillows in the room. The room was clean and the bathroom shower was nice.
