Unfortunately- we were there during the off season so half of the shops and restaurants were closed... which was a real bummer but even the restaurants that were open, didn't have a lot of patronage so I understand. Amazing views of the ocean, nice outside area with tables for enjoying a bottle of wine and watching the sunset. Went in July and even without AC temperatures overnight was in the low 60F. Close to two trails to Monterosso and Vernazza. For the true hiker who wants to be away from the tourist this place is the perfect fit"

"Dreaming of visiting Cinque Terre for years, we finally made it. I booked our room in advance, and got a great room at Scorci did Mare on the top with the balcony. It was everything I hoped for (plus lots of steps). We went out and walked around, brought a fresh Italian snack back and sat on the patio overlooking this beautiful city. I will be back. There a lots of hills and stairs here, be aware. The bed was hard compared to USA standard but it's normal for Italy in my previous travels. "

"Very nice house with friendly and helpful staff. Its a up hill walk of a medium distance. A bit difficult if you have baggage. Breakfast is not included. But just a 5 minute walk to the beach and Monterroso's esplanade. Old town is about 15 minutes walk along the sea. Plenty of eateries starting from the moment you come down the hill."

"The property is about a 10 minute walk through the tunnel then up the street to number 99. The little balcony overlooking the street was a nice touch. There is no elevator and you are going up 3 flights of stairs to the room, so plan ahead for your stay and pack accordingly. Maddy met us at the room to make sure we had a good feel for 5 Terre and the area. Very glad we stayed in 5 Terre. "

"Hotel Porto Roca is absolutely beautiful. Rooms are brand new - super clean, modern, wonderful bathroom. Our room was a 2 room suite with a large balcony overlooking the sea - absolutely stunning views. Breakfast buffet was very nice with a large selections. Hotel offers transportation to and from main part of town - a very short walk but with luggage transportation is was very beneficial. Highly highly recommend this hotel . "
