"I liked staying at this property but one thing bothered us while we were sleeping was the loud sound of the heater fan. I had to get up many times to turn the heater off and turn back on when it got cold in room."

"We stayed here for 3 nights. It was very clean. So much to do nearby, it’s the perfect place if you want to hit Big Sur, Carmel, Point Lobos, etc! Only thing is customer service wasn’t the greatest. When calling for towels one night (they didn’t come in for housekeeping that afternoon) they were very rude and vague about it. Also, not sure if walls/floor are very old but the room upstairs made a horrible loud squeaking sound every time they’d walk. It kept us up. Overall, it was okay....

"We stayed here for our mini moon just now. We’ve stayed here before for one night and we liked it so we had to come back. The check in was smooth and we happened to get a cold and I used a lot of tissue boxes and toilet paper. Thankfully they were always replenished everyday we were there and it was so helpful when we felt so bad. The room was sweet and had everything we needed. "Power pole fell down the street over, so power was out til 5:30pm. Not really much of an inconvenience, but they credited the dog fee which was nice. The room was good size, clean and comfortable. There is a decent size garden for dogs to run around in the back. It would be very nice if pet owners would clean up after their dogs. Supplies for this are provided. Hotel is centrally located within walking distance of everything. Try the unbelievable cream puffs at Solvang Bakery."

"Upon arrival, we were greeted and offered room upgrades, which we really appreciated. The room had a patio with lovely furniture, overlooking the pool. Our room was large and included a large couch, table and chair for dining. Room service was a plus."

Pretty Darn Good!

"It was a nice unique hotel. The staff was wonderful when you stepped into the hotel. It seemed like you were walking into the past of a great classic movie. I have never been welcomed and treated so well upon an arrival at the hotel. The room was quaint, attractive and comfortable. Though I did upgrade the room it was a little smaller than my expectations. I would definitely stay in the same room again did I mention that it was very clean. My wonderful girlfriend is very picky and does the house cleaner test, and it met her expectations. Which is very hard to meet. I was aware of the parking situation before arrival so I was ready for the valet parking. The hotel was very close to restaurants and shopping. Plus the wharf is a short walk away. I had to get my clam chowder in a bread bowl. Brought back great memories from long ago! I can’t wait to stay here again when we visit the area soon"
