"We were delighted with the location of the hotel to explore Faro and we loved the quirkiness of it all. We were off season so didn’t expect to use the pool and outside areas. They were a bit run down looking with some broken sunbeds and torn curtains but hopefully that was being addressed by the owners as they renovated for the start of the new season. We had an amazing evening meal on our second evening which was the highlight of our stay. We really enjoyed our stay"

"Our room was super comfortable and well set up for an extended stay. The inner courtyard was quiet and also a beautiful setup. Faro was one of our favourite places to visit and we will come back to the Algarve for a longer stay next time. There are many restaurants and a pedestrian only commercial area within 10 minute walk.The area around the hotel is undergoing a rebuild and was safe and quiet after dark when we went out for late dinner. "Excellent hotel great location in a great town, portuguese food is fantastic, we did b b and it was very good lots of options and great service. Park at the car park next to the garage its free! Plenty of really good cafes and restaurants. Close to the ferry for the beach"

"Room not ready for check in time and staff refused to resolve. Had to wait with children for some time before staff agreed to give us a different room so we could check in. Other than that inflexibility and inconvenience, our stay was great. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was also good. Would stay again."

"Great hotel in Monte Gordo, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful town with amazing beach and very close to the Spanish border. Staff were grand, we had a very good buffet breakfast, main items to choose from. Very close to beach and shops. If needed there is a 2 1/2 mile walk to the border town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio along a straight road but the beach walk is glorious although twice the distance. Beach is just fantastic. "Lovely hotel -- nice modern and very comfortable rooms, surprisingly good dinners from the restaurant, warm staff, and beautiful countryside surrounding. We didn't get to use the pool, and the area around the sauna was a musty with very limited hours. Not really a gym as others have mentioned, just an outdoor area, but if you know all this, there is much here to enjoy!"
