"The property is situated right on the bank of the river Nile and our room had a view of the river. The roof top restaurant also overlooked the Nile. The room itself was large but very basic containing only a queen size bed and 1 small bedside cabinet. There was a closet to hang clothes. The bathroom had 1 of those folding doors which was off its track. No soundproofing there, you can hear people talking at all hours and chairs being pushed back. The food there is superb. "If I am Hotels.com I will not include them on my list because you will make a lot of consumers like me mad and angry. All the perks shown on their ad was all BOGUS like the free airport transfers and KFC and Pizza Hut is 4000 feet away from the property, etc. This location is in the boonies and the caretaker is always asking for money every time I need something."

"We loved everything about this place. The owner helped with all the things we wanted to do. The room was amazing! Out of all the places we stayed on this trip. This was by far our favorite. The home cooked meals were a highlight of the trip. Tayeb and his staff made it feel like we were family. I highly recommend The Scorpion House. "

"The place was ok for this price but the bed was so terrible we couldn’t even sleep one night. We had a soup there which was brought from another place and we waited minimum 1 hour for it, and this was the worst soup we ever had. We also didn’t have a good experience with the sisha. Honestly, I would not really recommend this place."
