“Stayed here several times when in the area for work and always happy to come back. This latest trip was for several nights. A great value pub which has good food and a nice atmosphere. Rooms are quiet and comfortable with everything you need. Breakfast is also very good, with lots to choose from and cooked well. Overall, just what is needed. ”

“Booked a one night stay to extend another hotel stay close by so we could do the Churnet Valley rail trip. Had a comfortable stay, everything very clean & comfortable. Was a little disconcerted to find we were actually staying in the house with the owner, an unknown experience for us. Julie was very friendly & helpful. Really appreciated the cold bottles of water we were given and the brunch bar.”
