"Very impressed with the Onoma Tsuruga Resort. We stayed for two nights in November and loved the property. The room we had , with a private rotemburo was very nice. It was much larger than most rooms in Japan, had excellent facilities, and the private outdoor bath was the real winner. We also enjoyed dining at the hotel. "Aesthetically absolutely beautifully designed interior, however not so functional. We stayed over the new year so it was cold/dry weather so we wish they had humidifiers. The beds are extremely comfortable unlike the beds at the major hotels so we were able to get rest well to recover from 13 hours flight. Unfortunately unlike other guests, we didn't get response from the owner quickly. We got a response 3 days after we checked out which was not a big deal anyway. "

"The Annex is way better than the other one which is older and has gone downhill. This one is beautiful in a Japanese retro and romantic way fitting to Hakodate. "Can’t ask for better option with this fantastic hotel right closely located near the Hakodate station The breakfast option is like a full lunch buffet and definitely worth topping up in the package— be careful though to wake up early to avoid the crowd! "

Clean and comfortable with great food

"Great location right across the station. I really thought it'd be your standard business hotel but they were so much more. Abundance of amenities provided, you'd be set even if you only came with the clothes on your back. The staff were so hospitable. The hotel offers Western and Japanese style rooms, which I think is lovely. Western beds were firm but comfortable.There's a ramen shop attached in the main floor, unfortunately they were sold out and closed early the night I was there. However, I don't know whether I was just super hungry, but the breakfast buffet was absolutely divine the next morning. The cook staff were so kind too. Quality over quantity for sure, but everything was so delicious. Definitely the best breakfast I had at a hotel for my whole two-week stay in Japan. "
