Staff was always friendly and helpful. Our building 20 concierge David went above and beyond for us. I had a terrible sun burn and he brought us an aloe leaf from his house.

Almost all the staff is fantastic. We had a server at tapanyaki that didnt write down my shelf fish allergy. Stopped the cook from killing me. The cook was mad and apologized. Later the waiter told me he had to pay for my meal 20 dollars. He also was upset at a tip left by another couple and commented on that. The other staff everywhere was top notch.

My second time here, very comfortable for family vacation with VIP access to all restaurants. Got a bit of weed on the beach around Tulum resort. Staff is friendly, good live music and tequila, coffee machines. Clean and maintained properly, nice pools. Management did a good job.

The staff was very nice. Everything was clean and beautiful. The spa was the best experience I’ve ever had at a spa. The buffets were delicious. It was difficult to make reservations at the restaurants and when we arrived, we could barely get into any of them. This should be an option to book before arrival or through an app.

It was very friendly and clean, and staff were almost always courteous and polite. Some of the administration was a bit curt, but may have been an off day. Food was always served in a clean and appetizing manner. Specialty restaurants seemed a bit rushed at times. I was there about 12 years ago, and the resort may have lost a bit of its small resort hospitality, because it has now grown massively. Only real complaint was the battle of the beach chairs----but that's another story.

We had a blast with kids - food, pools, beach, everything was exceptional! Truly 5 stars experience!

The reason for my 3 star review is due to the false marketing--it's 4.5 star rating that it promotes must be self appointed as anyone who has stayed at 5 star can see that this is no higher than a 4. To use the word luxury only applies to a few select spaces around the resort, so it is misleading to use that term to the resort as a whole. The resort is clean, a good beach, and a lot to do, so if that is your goal this is perfect. Food was mediocre, and getting reservations is a joke if you want an actual regular meal time (not at 5 or 9) Regular meal times are mainly reserved for their premium upcharge and people who agree to their timeshare pitch. It touts a lot of restaurants, but near the pool the breakfast closes early (10), and lunch doesn't open until 1. The timeshare pitch is really too much. The concierge really pressured us to do it, we kept saying no, she said she'd pencil us in and we could play it by ear. When we didn't show, she called, came to our room, and even said that her job performance depended on us attending. We felt badly for her, and don't feel it's fair to either the hardworking employees or the paying guests to put that type of pressure on the pitch. The fight for pool chairs was silly, the beach was not an issue as it was red flag windy our entire stay so the majority of the guests were not on it for long. We had the power and ac go out in our room multiple times, although they were quick to come and fix.
