"The Hotel Helvetia was perfect for my short stay in Zermatt. I had read many of the previous reviews so I was prepared. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the train station, there is no elevator and my room was quite small but had a balcony overlooking the street filled with people. The hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants. This hotel was quite reasonably priced and in a great location."

"I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. The location is perfect. Close to everything in town and only a 10 minute walk to the Matterhorn gondola. The staff is amazing. They are very helpful and kind. The hotel is immaculate. The fireplace in the lobby is super cozy and provides a great spot for a cocktail before dinner. The breakfast was delicious and very plentiful. Our room was very comfortable and had a perfect view of the Matterhorn. "

"Very nice hotel. I lucked out and got a room with a balcony. Room and facilities were well thought out to accommodate a ski vacation. Room was very clean and housekeeping was excellent. Price was on the low end for Zermatt so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I would stay here again and would recommend it to a single or couple travelling for a ski vacation."

"We had an incredible stay at Backstage hotel. The staff were always so welcoming and ready to help. The room and available amenities absolutely exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful place with unique architecture. Perfect location. I would recommend to everyone and stay again! "

"The rooms were clean and comfortable. But the night clubs and bars are extremely loud. Even after switching rooms to the third floor, the live drums were extremely loud until around 2am. If you like to party, maybe its not a problem. But its not a great place for a relaxing stay. "

"Great room, nice balcony. Good tradition of price room and not too far from the train station since you have to walk everywhere in zermatt. Everything is a great view Breakfast was pretty light but good. Most mornings we choose to go across the street to the bakery"
