"The room was simply tiny. The mattress was sat on pallets rather than an actual bed. The shower door was broken and hung loose in the shower. Duck tape was trying to hold it up. I had children with me so this was dangerous. There was no kitchen (which the advert said there was) and we had to was dishes in the bathroom sink. Finally, there was grease or dates smeared on the wall. The internet didn’t work, the fan was broken too. It was on a busy urban street, so if it wasn’t midnight revelers...

Then lugged up the luggage to find out that the code didn’t work. Hit up hotels again to find out that they have the wrong address. Finally went to the next place. Up another three flights. Place is nice looking and stuff but dirty. Mold in bathroom. Blood stain on sheets. No Wi-Fi. The auto light in hallway stays on for 10...

"Great central location but couple of issues - lights in bathroom didn't work, there was a massive ridge in the middle of the floor (trip hazard) & the fridge was not working - in fact it was running very hot & there was a burning smell in the unit (plastic was warping inside fridge around light) - a clear fire risk. When informed Smartflats simply thanked us for the info & made no attempt. to remedy or compensate. Poor service as we rented the apartment to prepare our own food & were limited....

"I would like to say this apartment was absolutely amazing, clean and comfortable and its on the main strip into old town antwerp. It was that good that after our stay we booked the same apartment again for our return from our road trip to poland . Its honestly a great experience and the price was brilliant. Es gibt auch kein 24 Stunden Front Desk. Als wir gebucht hatten, stand sogar noch dabei, dass man die ganze Unterkunft alleine zur Verfügung hat, das stimmt aber nicht, es ist nur ein Zimmer. Die Treppen sind sehr steil."

Great location and value for money

"Stayed here for a couple of nights. Excellent value for money and a short walk from the train station. The check in was efficient and friendly. Room was warm and comfortable and very quiet. Didn't like the pillows as they weren't to my preference. Hotel is well situated and there are plenty of restaurants, bars and supermarkets close by. Free hot drinks in the bar was welcome. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Wouldn't hesitate to use again "
