"No big praises, no big complaints. It’s an economy hotel, so you don’t get the bells and whistles, but it’s solid for the price. The breakfast isn’t anything to brag about. It is close to the train station and the underground. I’d stay there again."

"Easy walk from Hauptbahnhof. Just far away you don't hear the trains. Room was spacious and had lots of storage. In room minibar refrigerator and nice selections for the tea kettle. Breakfast buffet is available. Includes scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and selection of meats and cheeses, fruits, yogurt, breads, coffee, juice , cereals. Easy walk to U1 line and other public transport to city center and tourist locations. "

"Lovely hotel with a truly independent feel and a traditional approach to the delivery of customer service in the modern day. Genuinely friendly staff who are very experienced in what they do. In many respects it was a refreshing change from the typical corporate chains of hotels. Worthy of special mention are Gilbert, hotel manager, who we met at the front desk on arrival. "Nicely refurbished hotel in a great location - right across the street from Vienna’s main train station and steps away from the underground and tram. Quiet, clean and very nice at a great price. One thing to be aware of: the sign on the hotel says “Congress Hotel.” I think they haven’t gotten signage for the rebrand yet, so it was a little confusing finding the place. Nice restaurant right down the block."
