"A charming country estate retreat. Host was very welcoming. The family room with maisonette 2nd bedroom and spacious bathroom was great. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of delicious meats, presumably from the pigs that are farmed here too. Just beware the premium prices of imported beers."

"The public areas are lovely - the space in front of the mansion, the breakfast/restaurant room with amazing views over the lake. It has lots of history, and the lobby is typically Swedish in its effortless cool. The room was a little less impressive. For the cost it was basically two adjoining conference rooms with very little in the way of comfort, and a very small, disappointingly dated bathroom. "Nice hotel polite staff and good breakfast (but VERY busy at 06.30 I had to leave without any!) building work was going on and so ask for a room at the front (note this is not an option for disabled travelers all rooms with showers/accessible rooms are at the back)"

"The location of the hotel was very good. A 5-10 minute walk to the old town, about a 20-30 minute walk to the saunas and bathhouses on the beach and 20 minutes to the Opera House. The views from the Sky Bar were great."
