Washington-Slagbaai National Park, Bonaire hotel rooms at the Independent

"Loved the resort but was surprised when we pulled in to park and was told good luck I think the parking is full. Desk was very helpful and cleaning of the rooms was good. The food is great but found that some of the people working at beach restaurant would rather talk to each other than take an order. Loved the lazy river. Enjoyed being able to have our fresh catch cooked by Mateo. The next day we had the other chef cook our fish. It was great. We will be back. Thanks for our 5th wonderful...

"Wonderful hotel with beautiful pastel colored buildings. Marriott quality with a Bonaire flair! Loved the infinity pool and buffet breakfast area overlooking pool and canal. Very friendly and helpful staff. Kayaking around hotel and area canals is scenic, easy access, and fun. Very laid back property and gorgeous. We were sad to leave. Be sure to rent a truck and go to the National Park! "

"I did not spend much time on the property besides sleep but if you're someone who is looking to explore the island this is the perfect option. The room was clean and it's in a good central location. They provide a towel that you can use to take to the beach. The restaurant on the property was delicious for a convenient breakfast on dinner (price not included). They have a parking lot for guests if you rent a car as well! I would definitely come back."
