"We stayed for one night before taking the ferry over to Norway. The place was lovely but the two sofa beds were very firm so it was difficult to get comfortable enough to sleep. There were no trash receptacles so we had to find a plastic bag to use The beach was incredible so because of that we would stay here again. "

We received excellent service and the staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming. Note if you stay during the warmer season: There’s no AC in the room or ventilation in the bathrooms. The room had a small portable fan which we turned on at night: We would have preferred to leave the patio doors open, to experience the ocean breeze but due to...

"We had a great (3-nights) stay at Strandhotellet. It is a lovely stylish hotel with a quaint atmosphere, and a short walk to the beach and restaurants. We received excellent service and the staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming. Note if you stay during the warmer season: There’s no AC in the room or ventilation in the bathrooms. The room had a small portable fan which we turned on at night: We would have preferred to leave the patio doors open, to experience the ocean breeze but due to mosquitos we had to keep the doors closed. The room was unpleasantly warm. That said: we were in Blokhus during the warmest week of the year, the weather and the beach was amazing ☀️ "
