Discover how Olympic and Paralympic champions are made when you tour this advanced training facility for athletes in numerous disciplines.

The United States Olympic Complex provides state-of-the-art training facilities for Olympic and Paralympic athletes. The 35-acre (14-hectare) site prepares sportspeople for the highest levels of competition in numerous sports including swimming, shooting, gymnastics and wrestling.

Go on a guided tour of the complex to see how it helps athletes achieve their sporting dreams. The sightseeing trips typically last for one hour and start with a 12-minute introductory video that covers the complex’s history and sporting achievements. Then, it is off to explore the campus.

Go to the Aquatics Center to see the 45,000-square feet (4,181-square meter) swimming pool. Note the multitude of cameras which allow athletes to be filmed above and below the water to help improve their technique. Inside the Sports Center gymnasiums you will see where basketball, handball, gymnastics and volleyball teams train.

View the bronze sculptures and 12-feet (3.5-meter) tall Olympic Ring Wall in the Carol Grotnes Belk Sculpture Garden. See the Olympic Hall of Fame Rotunda, where the country’s greatest athletic feats are celebrated. Be on the lookout for famous competitors and future champions who train on this site.

Make your way to the rooftop terrace where you can see the Olympic flame display and enjoy panoramic views of the complex. The tour also includes a stop at the Olympic Shooting Center, one of the largest indoor shooting ranges in the world.

Tours are available from Monday through Saturday with times varying slightly depending on the season. Admission charges apply with discounts for senior citizens. Children aged 10 and under get in for free.

The United States Olympic Complex sits next to Boulder Park, about 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) east of the city center. There are many bus stops along the avenue just outside the facility and car parking is free inside the visitor parking lot.
