"Luckily we arrived in daylight, as the road up to the Osteria zig-zagged in impossible hairpins up from the valley. It's possible that after dark and unlit we might just have turned around and headed for somewhere flat. However, if we had done we would have missed a completely unique experience. The hamlet of Anzonico clings to the side of an Alp and there is no vehicle access to the Osteria. Parking is in a lay by about 50 yards further up. "We had an absolutely magical stay. Loved reading in the morning, sledding in the afternoon, and exploring the village of Gimmelwald and Murren. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and dinners in the pension as well as nightly beer and hot chocolate."

"Nice appartement, its very pretty and the kitchen is fully equiped. Well situated in the centre of Tegna, the children took the train to Locarno while we went hiking and climbing in Val Maggia. Only minus point is the church bells, (you are in the centre of town!) but you get used to them after a couple of days. "

"Great place to stay during a trip to the area, buss connection to the train station for backpackers. Clean place, kitchen with appliances and utensil available for use, a few areas for resting in and outside the building. Just not sure about the Internet connection - my laptop was not able to find the username, however in other places before and after, it was ok. to solve the problem the host let me use their own laptop to check a ticket. Because of an allergy I sometimes also have a problem...

"Although it was the off season and the hotel was not functioning with all facilities, our stay was excellent. Lovely room, comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and a warm welcome. Good value."
