"Bei der Unterkunft muss man beachten, dass es dort nicht so ist, wie auf der Webseite beschrieben. Die Gaststätte war zu und nach Auskunft anderer im Ort, wird diese auch schon länger nicht mehr betrieben. Im Gasthof gibt es kein WLAN und auch kein Internet. Ebenso im Ort nicht. "

"Very nice hotel near the main street. The restaurant was very good with traditional Thuringian food. It looks like the restaurant is used by locals too. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options available. The room was functional and the bathroom seemed newly renovated. The hotel had a sauna, but I didn’t use it."

"We only had one night here, would have liked to stay more. The hotel has its own restaurant for lunch and dinner in a separate building a minutes walk from rhe accommodation. Really good local food. Our room was quite a bit larger than expected and spotless. No hesitation in recommending this as a very good place to stay."

"Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable lodging in a central location. Small water bottle in room at arrival would have been nice, but local mints in bathroom and Christmas chocolate on pillow were very thoughtful. Would also have liked to see homemade jam instead of high glucose factory stuff as an extra touch at breakfast. Blackout curtains worked and bathroom was modern and spacious. Would definitely stay again. "

"Übernachtung vor dem Getting Tough Race: um 19:45 nach 6 Stunden Fahrt durch Staus endlich angekommen. Hotel leer, klein Klingeln, kein Klopfen, selbst anrufen hilft nicht, Rezeption soll bis 20:00 besetzt sein. Als Taschenlampe raus und in den Innenhof, Suche nach offner Tür...Endlich. Entdecke Rezeptionistin in der Küche: "Ich war noch grad einkaufen...die Geschäfte machen ja um 20:00 zu..."Hmmm. Haus alt, Zimmer alt, zusammengewürfelt. "I chose this hotel due to its idyllic look & since I was traveling with 4 colleagues, they all booked here too. On arrival, found out you don’t stay in the schloss, rather a very unattractive side building, freezing cold, tiny room. The restaurant was closed, another reason I had chosen this hotel was because it had a restaurant, nobody told us it would be closed. Very poor. The service was friendly at breakfast & that’s my reason for ranking this at okay. The lady was lovely & made our start to...

"Room very clean and tidy with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were very nice and helpful bearing in mind that our German is very limited. Hotel is nicely situated with only a short walk in to town. Arnstadt has a beautiful old town centre with a great cafe opposite the Rathaus for afternoon coffee and strudel / ice cream sundaes etc . One of the few places open on Sunday. Nice place to stay for three or four days at least."

Generally excellent, but.....

"The hotel was located in an area with good transport links. I found occasionally it was difficult in my chair with static electricity. I would suggest maybe a couple of handrails in the bathroom to make it a little more accessible, and a bath with a shower is not helpful for someone who has to use a Powerchair. It's also a bit tricky to leave the room in your chair at times. There was much to enjoy about the room, but it could have been tailored a little more towards my needs. I had written to the hotel about a couple of issues, butdid not get replies. The restaurant staff were always kind and helpful. The wifi was occasionally a bit hit or miss. "

"The property is in an excellent location for walking to the centre of town. It has its own paid parking which makes it easy for people with cars. The hotel is clean and has very nice staff. They have a nice restaurant and bar on site. Breakfast options are very nice too. Would definitely visit again. "

"Having multi lingual staff was massively useful for those have us who are less skilled. The only thing I would ask them to add would be a doorbell. Trying to check-in after midnight (ICE train delays!) needed a friendly other customer to let me in to check-in. Not a huge issue at all, but would have been nice is all."
