It's far from central London, but quite close to the tube, bus station and Stratford international. It was a great fit for me as I'm constantly traveling to Stratford for work. "This was a really good stay and really good rates for London. The hotel is walking distance to the station and very close to the excel. The staff were really friendly and upgraded us to a family room. The room was clean and had tea and coffee. There is a secure car park which is locked up. Overall I was happy with the stay and service. Will definitely book again in the future 😊"

"Lovely little boutique hotel. Staff were helpful and everything was clean. Couple of negative things. 1. The walls in the rooms look like they are in the middle of a renovation. Cracks and dry wall patches galore. Apparently, according to the front desk it’s Croatian Chic. But, it just looks like they were too lazy to finish or ran out of money. 2. The design of the shower stall is extremely poor with water pouring under the shower door into the rest of the bathroom. "

"The Hotel DC has been recently refurbished, so is definitely a cut above many of the other budget offerings in East London. It's somewhat inconveniently placed for public transport being 12-15 minutes walk from either of two Elizabeth Line stations (Maryland and Forest Gate), and the area feels a little edgy at night; you might need to get a taxi if you had more than a backpack for luggage. "My partner and I stayed here for our anniversary as we wanted to be out and about in London. I was greeted by friendly, warm staff, excellent customer service. The rooms were small but clean & comfortable, TV worked fine, the heater was hoooot and lovely on a cold night. We were greeted leaving & coming in, it felt safe.
