"Sonnenalp is such a charming hotel. The service was great, and the decor and design were quite unique which we loved. We also really enjoyed our room, although the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. The mattress was OK, but the pillows were awful. I've had much better pillows at hotels that cost a third of the price. If that were changed, this would be a hotel we'd go back to without a doubt."

"The location, the grounds and the lovely Staab House bar were the best things about the stay. Our king bed fireplace room was fine but very small. Plastic cups in the bathroom and paper cups for the a espresso felt a bit like a typical budget hotel, not a luxury resort. There was an industrial motor/humming sound much of the night in our room. On the bright side, we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves on February 1! Every staff person was excellent— friendly and helpful. "
