"A fantastic place to stay, and a brilliant base for the sights of south Iceland. Friendly staff and the room itself had everything you could need for the price, plus a little bit more. Had to use the spare duvet as a pillow, as I like a firm pillow, but that's more personal preference."

"We had a fantastic time here. The cabin was warm, clean and spacious and private with everything we needed to be self sufficient catering-wise. It was fabulous to be able to just step out on the deck to see the Aurora two nights in a row! We'd highly recommend this fabulous accommodation!"

"This is a cute room to rent on a quiet farm. The only thing I would suggest is update some of the pictures of the actual building. We were confused when we arrived because the building we were staying in didn't look like any of the advertised pictures so we weren't sure if we were in the right place. ..."

The information center in the town hall was excellent. The worker there arranged for the Bobby Fischer Center to be opened for us and we had a wonderful experience there as well going south to the coast for beach hiking.

Growing, a lot of construction. Very good dinner at Cafe Kruz. New Almar Bakery very popular; good coffee and baked good for breakfast to go We went to Geysir and Gullfoss on way here from Vik; both destinations very worthwhile.

Selfoss is a great stop along the way. We liked that the town has convenient stores and restaurants: Jysk, Pizza Hut, Quiznos, etc. It feels like a little civilization along the beautiful Route 1!
