"From the moment we arrived, we were treated so well by the lovely staff. Bruna was awesome. She knew we had spent a night in Porto before checking in to the hotel and yet she gave us a map and outlined must see places and gave us restaurant recommendations. The other 5 star hotel we stayed at never bothered. Every time we walked into the reception area the staff stood up out of respect., Russ was also fantastic! The hotel’s breakfast was excellent. Each room represents a writer or poet and there are books throughout the hotel and hanging creatively from the ceiling in the reception and library. We will definitely come back and stay here again. "The hotel was located in an excellent location. We did not use the hotel restaurant as we dined out every night. Staff on reception were helpful and knowledgable. We had unseasonbly warm weather and it would have been great if the outdoor pool was still open. Indoor pool in spa area was good but quite small. "

"Some reviews said small rooms. Ours was a twin and very spacious but when the cleaners were round and doors open we saw other twin rooms were smaller. But ours was great. Staff helpful and friendly. Lockers for €1 in reception also where you can also leave bags"
