"This is a lovely small hotel to stay in the walled village. You can park right in front which is a huge plus. We booked a triple room and it was spacious. I think the others are on the small side. Everything was spotless! Comfy bed with soft sheets. Our room was cold and it turned out our heat didn't work, but there were balnkets in the closet and that did the trick. Had a bowl of the traditional tomato soup for dinner and it was hearty and delicious!"

"What an exceptional spot! Marvao is incredible. The pousada is in a perfect location, and overlooking the plains below, it has a fabulous view. Our room, although small, was quite commodious and had historic traditional Portuguese furniture. Our dinner and breakfast were most enjoyable, although the dinner was not “gourmet”. Breakfast was far more than we'd expected, especially after some poor offerings elsewhere.
