"Incredible facilities, rooms are cleaned really well, staff are always very attentive. To be able to access the grotta is a real highlight, it's an incredible place, much bigger than expected and the facilities are again outstanding. Spa had a lot of choice, the outdoor swimming pools were unexpected given we visited in December and it was never too busy, often it was just us. There are also lots of hiking options from just next to the property, starting from inside the hotel grounds. "

"Decided to stay here because of the 5 star reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Yes it’s the opposite side of Lucca to the train station and outside the city walls but it was only a 30 minute walk because Lucca is so tiny. Gave me the opportunity to get my bearings. And only a 5 minute walk back to the wall. Was able to check in just after 11am. Room was huge as was the bathroom & both immaculately clean. And there was a kettle! Breakfast was fantastic and laid out with great care. Lovely...

The house is a lovely old house and the room was clean and perfect with an ensuite. Giacomo gave me information about where to go to eat and I went to Leo’s nearby where they cut slices of pizza at whatever size you like which is a great idea. The breakfast was nice and a range of things that you can order the night...
