The Clift is an iconic San Francisco hotel. The Union Square area of SF is dirty and filled with homeless people everywhere. Including the block on which the Clift is located. Nothing you can do about that. This may seem petty but putting one-ply toilet paper in guests bathrooms is insulting beyond words The redwood room is a treasure, and the staff everywhere is gracious and competent.

This hotel was conveniently located and reasonably close to the UCSF Mission Bay Medical campus where we had appts. Facilities were wheelchair accessible and our room was perfectly laid out to maneuver the wheelchair as needed. The only complaints are the dinner menu was extremely limited and there were no cups in the room to make coffee.
