There are many beaches San Carlos, including many that are relatively secluded. Do some research or ask the locals about choices that correspond to your preferences. Also, some beaches during part of the year may be subject to stinging jellyfish.

San Carlos in general is lacking tourism and it shows. Decedent and dirty, that is what is left of a once a beautiful place. Its sad to see since locals and services are great. A LOT needs to be done to cleanup ALL trash and repair tourism areas.
