"Staff ever so kind and helpful. Very accommodating. Room was a good size and looked out over the train station area (see photo). The breakfast was not worth the $ in my opinion, many other places to eat. Hotel close to a lot, easy to get to. Also about a 5 min walk to the train station. Great stay!"

"The hotel and its staff are excellent. The facilities could not be faulted. A focus area for improvement would be around dining options. One of party has a vegetarian and gluten-free diet. The menu options between the restaurants and room service are not joined up. There were options on the room service menu that you could not get on the restaurant menu so the choice was really limiting. Also, not all staff were aware of the gluten free options available so we got different messages on...

"A great place for students or people on a budget. The staff are really friendly. The location is great - things are never really more than a 20 min walk or 10 min tram ride away. However, being right in the centre means there was a lot of noise so might not be ideal for light sleepers. The stairs to the rooms are pretty narrow and steep which could be problematic for anyone with knee problems or if your'e really stoned :)"

"Perfect location and nice room, although the shower should be elevated lower than the other toulet floor as it is flooding. The breakfast was okay nothing special, i wish they have scrambled eggs and bacons and sawsauge but nothing like that its a basic breakfast. "

"Group of 4 stayed here. Been to Amsterdam 5 times and this is the best place I've stayed in. Martin was a gem. He went above and beyond looking after us. The beds were so comfortable. Little mini bar and snacks was great. Location was in the heart of the action, but yet quite enough to sleep well ( the drink helped as well) the bar is lovely a snug. All staff very nice. We'll be back. Thanks for a great weekend."

"We had the most amazing time at the Private Mansion. It’s an incredible experience full of curiosities and salvaged decor - it’s absolutely beautiful and the location is perfect. Some noise at night but to be expected in Amsterdam. Joris was above and beyond helpful and we are already planning our next trip. Friends of ours had a party in the downstairs section, it really is a unique and special place for an event. Can’t recommend it enough!! Thank you xx"
