Our stay at Bungalows Zicatela was Amazing, Staff was supper friendly specially Williams he was welcoming and funny. It’s right in the middle of great restaurants, bars, and night life. The option they have for free breakfast is great the options they offer are really good and fulfilling.

Very nice, comfortable stay. Hotel is a little dated but very clean. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a great breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Great outdoor area for lounging around the pool all day. The beach is a five minute walk across the street! We’ll definitely stay here again!

Everything was great but the music across the street is loud and booming until around 3:00AM. We stopped staying at hotel Ines because of the same reason and it is not as loud in this hotel. Otherwise everything was great.

The staff at the reception were excellent. The breakfast and dining room service was also very good. Very timely service and large portions for the money. The pool area was nice. On the other side, housekeeping never made it to our room to clean it over the three days we were there, always coming at the end of the day when we were back getting ready for dinner. The rooms are very outdated and the locks on the rooms are very old. The hotel makes you give ID to have a beach towel, or a hairdryer or an iron. I forgot my key in my room one time and the housekeeping person just jimmied the lock by sticking a steak knife through the moulding on the wall and popping the door open. This property is well located, near a bar that has live music every night, much of it not good music. It was loud and unpleasant and the windows did little to block the noise. This hotel is quite overpriced for what you get.

Great staff and great location! They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, the restaurant was great! Also included breakfast with your stay! Convenience stores and shopping within in steps of walking, lot’s of restaurants and beach clubs close by as well, We will definitely be coming back!

The Restaurant only coffee or tea no water or juice you have to pay extra for it and the menu is too limited. Order a hot tea with toast we received tbd tea and after almost half an hour we received the toast bread

This was our first time to Puerto Escondido and Bungalow Zicatela was the perfect place to stay because in the middle of a lot of activities. Due to flight delays, we arrived a day later and the hotel still held our reservation. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The hotel has 2 restaurants, which both had excellent food. We stayed for 2 weeks, which seemed longer than most stay so we developed some friendships with the staff. There is a lot more to see in Puerto Escondido so we will be back and probably will stay at Bungalow Zicatela.

I went with a group of friends and stayed in Bungalows Zicatela and our stay was really pleasent. The location is the best for this hotel, right in front you have restaurants and night bars to go have some fun also to go shopping ecerything is walking you don’t need to drive or grab a taxi. The beach is also right in front.The staff were exellent people to us helped us out in everything we needed. The seimming pool and the breakfast were awsome as well. The only thing about this hotel are the rooms the furniture is old and nothing modern, roomw were clean anyways so it was okay, other than that I really do recomend this hotel to stay I give it an 8 out of 10.

We loved our stay at Bungalows Zicatela. I traveled with my husband and two teenage boys. We were very comfortable and the staff was amazing. Front desk, security, restaurant staff, maid service and maintenance persons were all very friendly and helpful. There are many pools and the free breakfast is delicious and the portions are big. We also ate there for dinner a few times and it was also very good. The maid service is impeccable. My room always felt so clean after they were there and they would fold our towels into elephants and swans which I thought was really special. The air conditioner works really well which was a godsend as Puerto gets VERY hot. The only downsides to the hotel is it is noisy at night due to being next to 2 big beach clubs that keep it rocking loud. There also aren’t any room safes. I would definitely stay here again if I ever find myself on Zicatela Beach again. Thank for making our trip special.

I paid 3 times what it should charge. Staff is unfriendly, pool is disgusting and the interior is about what I've paid $25-$50 a night in other similar locations. RUn down and not that clean. I will never stay here again. If it was $50 a night instead of $140 i would not complain. Better to spend more here in Puerto for nicer stays. If you are a big wave surfer and want to stay in walking distance from Zicatela beach then go ahead.

This hotel is directly across the street from the beach. This beach is for surfing not swimming. There was great food walking distance from the hotel. We loved cafecito it was authentic and reasonably priced. The free breakfast from the hotel was good & great portions but the flys make it difficult to enjoy. The hotel has 3 different building with pools in the center. We stayed in the newest building on the third floor. No elevators just stairs but we didn’t have an issue with it. The room was cleaned everyday and we got fresh towels daily. The ac worked amazingly has a lil fridge for beverages. I had read in previous reviews about the night club noise. WOW it’s pretty bad we stayed Tuesday through Sunday. We got woken up on Thursday night from music it went until 3am. It seems like the most popular clubs were directly across from this hotel. I couldn’t even be mad because I had read this but chose to take a risk dont think I’d do it again. The staff was very friendly. If your young single want to party perfect place for you. If you have little ones they will be woken up from music at the clubs.
