Port of Airlie Tours

Port of Airlie which includes a bay or harbor

This sun-kissed marina is your gateway to the world-famous Whitsunday Islands. Sail or drive here to shop or dine with views over the glistering turquoise waters.

Boasting year-round warm weather, subtropical waters, shops, restaurants and accommodations, the Port of Airlie can be seen as a destination in itself, although most visitors come here to take a trip out to the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef.

For those arriving by boat, this secluded and modern boat harbor has all the amenities you need including a fuel wharf by the jetty. Port of Airlie comprises not only a marina, but also accommodations, waterfront home sites at The Cove, fine dining, shops and a maritime passenger terminal.

The marina’s ferry and cruise services give you easy access to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Book a live-aboard or daytrip to sail around the Whitsundays and snorkel or dive around the world’s biggest reef. All in all there are 74 islands, each with their own resorts, natural attractions and walking trails. For something more leisurely, go for a romantic sunset cruise with a local tour operator.

Before your tour is scheduled to leave, browse the marina’s shops and cafés. Buy a new swimsuit or a soft beach towel from iconic Australian brands as a souvenir or have a coffee overlooking the sheltered bay.

Upon your return, soak in a hot tub, get a massage or stretch and relax your muscles in the on-site yoga studio and spa. When it’s time for a drink, you have the choice between a beer café and a boutique wine bar. End your night with a takeout of fish and chips and have dinner with a view of the marina for a true Australian experience.

The adjacent luxury apartments have scenic views out over the resort pool and the marina, an excellent spot to catch a breeze during a tropical vacation.

Located along the road to Shute Harbour, Port of Airlie is easy to reach from Airlie Beach. Shuttle bus transfers and taxis operate between the Whitsunday Coast Airport at Proserpine and the marina, a distance of about 24 miles (38 kilometers). If you take a local bus, disembark at Hermitage Drive. There are parking bays on site.
