Our 2nd stay here, 1st was before covid.
All the working staff were exceptionally polite and friendly. Room balcony had a nice ocean and pool view. This has increased this rating.
The resort requires building maintenence. Thatched roofs leak as some areas have lost the thatch. Thought we could sit on the balcony and enjoy the rains, but that roof didn't stop much of the rain.
The door deadbolt wouldn't latch, had to have the plate on the frame replaced. 3 days later the door's card reader failed completely, had to have that replaced. Water staining on the room's ceilings.
Room complex #5 had 1 elevator OOS the whole stay, the 2nd elevator worked intermittently. Pool chairs were reserved for the day with towels by 7:30, even though people would show up for a couple hours only. Not enough chairs/lounging chairs. Pool wait staff is less than what's required.
The VIP & Circle sales staff would not provide any summary without attending their breakfast meeting. I've attended these hard sell meetings at other resorts and had to become rude after a number of times indicating that we were not interested...
