"I'd like to give Hotel Cheval a 4.5. Good points: beautiful property, right in the middle of Paso Robles, with s'mores @ night and nice breakfast in the morning. Not as good: there is kind of an odd vibe to the place: extremely expensive for limited amenities ($600+/night) but staff seemed...green. I recommend the property but would only stay there again at a lower rate."

"Loved the stay very quiet Friday night. The winery is away from town but not to far if you don't mind going out. Free extended breakfast was good, the staff was nice and professional and we were able to buy a bottle of wine to enjoy in our room. It would have been nice to have a option for entertainment or drinks at the winery on a Friday night it seems they have the ability but was not offered.
