Staff didnt seem to care at all. Woke up in the morning and none of the staff could be seen in the property. Several guests also woke up early to find none of the staff was there. Room was dirty. Toilet was dirty.
the villas are good , but i'm disappointed with the beach itself , not conducive to swim , swimming pool was not cleaned ,noted lots of dirt , pillows were too dirty , manangement did not accomodate my request to adjust our paid breakfast since we are leaving early .
Very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Great staff all very helpful. Management seems to be non existent however not a problem as the local staff were wonderful.
Love this place! The area, the kind of people who stay here, the energy around this place, the friendly service and the serenity.
We extended our stay because we so loved it here!
Did not find anything about this property that really stood out or would make me want to come back. It is in a very remote location where the beach area is very grassy in the water and the sand very rough with small stones, the property not all that appealing in comfort. The food is adequate, and service average with a very shy staff from the local area who are polite and do there best to serve you.
If you are a kite surfer then you will like this spot as there is lots of wind, did not see anyone surfing. It was easy to book local tours from property. We were board and not impressed with our choice to stay here and felt it was not worth the money we paid. It is by no means a resort but simple a location on a rough beach with some cabins and a swimming pool , it also as an outdoor eating restaurant that also serves as the office.
We really enjoy Kingfisher. They cater to foreigners with a quiet atmosphere and a menu with a good variety. The rooms are nice, plus they have air conditioning and t.v. with lots of good channels. It has a beautiful beach and lots of options for fun. Kite surfing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, and my husband even did a bit of snorkeling. There are also some nice waterfalls near by.
The resort did not informed ahead of time that they do not have electricity. It was only the time that we arrived from manila that they told us that they are only using generator and it will only be available until 10pm, provided that the room that I rented is worth 10k and they are only offering candle. They also did not show personal interest to help to cancel my reservation but informed me hotels.com personally to cancel my reservation.

The place is so quiet and relaxing. The rooms are clean except on the faucet and rag in our room but overall it was a nice place to relax and have bond with your family and nature.
We were grateful for the early check-in at 8AM after traveling from Quezon City to Laoag.
We took the bus from Manila to Laoag and decided to use the car service from Laoag to King Fisher.
It was expensive to use the car service P3,500 for one way from Laoag to King Fisher.
We rented the “premier” room for 2 nights and then downgraded to the deluxe. Both accommodations were wonderful, of coarse the premier room had more to offer, including the coffee beans and coffee maker.
We traveled to Laoag and visited Fort Ilocandia and decided to move hotels after experiencing the drastic difference in weather and beach conditions.
The beach at King Fisher has too many rocks and shells so if you want to walk on the beach or go swimming make sure to bring the proper footwear or your feet will hurt for sure.
The staff is amazing and they did a wonderful job making sure that our stay was a memorable one.
I spent a few days here in January, 2018. A great little spot right on a long uncrowded stretch of beach. I walked along the beach for over a mile and never ran in to another person and there are no other resorts along here. Popular kitesurfing spot, although I didn't know that when I booked it. The staff was very nice. The email communication prior to arrival was very quick and helpful. I arranged an airport transfer and the staff member was waiting when I walked out with a sign and the van was new and comfortable. Being an animal lover, I loved hanging out with the dogs and bunnies. You can even borrow a dog to accompany you on a hike or out on the paddle board. The restaurant was ok. There weren't many options for vegetarians but the staff did try to accommodate that. The room was nice and very quiet for sleeping. Due to limited time I didn't get to explore the surrounding area, but understand there are many things to do. I will come back again when I have more time I can spend.
The hotel is far away from town proper. Rooms are good toiletries included. We booked 2 cabanas and both okay.
It is suited for Kite surfers. Beach are not suitable for swimming very rocky and loads of seaweeds.
Hotel staff are good apart from one person the receptionist. My brother made an inquiry re putting up tents by the beach which was actually stated on their website there is a camping ground which would suggest putting up tents are okay. The receptionist was very rude to my brother and she was very unprofessional. I suggest to either hire someone better and fire her or re train her.
I know their target markets are more on people from abroad but taking care of the locals and treating them the same as foreigners would be better since even locals pay the exact same price as people from abroad. Just a thought for the owner.
The owner Mon and the other hotel staff are good.
Overall I probably still recommend this hotel if you are a kite surfer but if you are traveling with family with small kids and expecting nice beach to swim in this is not the resort for u.
We loved our stay! The kids enjoyed kayaking and swimming while the adults enjoyed the peace and quiet. The staff members are so nice and accommodating, even their dogs, specially Toby! The food they serve is also good.
It's quite far from the hi-way which makes it a perfect place to disconnect from our usual busy lives -- literally and figuratively!
I strongly suggest you read the About Us page of their website prior to booking so there are no unpleasant surprises for you.
In the middle of no where and no security to make you feel secured. No breakfast with room stay. Staff were not attentive. Serving while eating with rice on her lips. Noisy staff that talks about their own things. Owner and manager not as entertaining. Booked for 3 nights but had to leave after one night and had to sleep in my car due to security concerns. Management did not even show concern why I left hurriedly. It says by the gate that they do not let in walk ins for security reasons but the gate is open for all to enter since there is no security. Common bathroom is dirty. Bookshelves obviously have not been cleaned for years. Smoking area in the dining is not designated. Poor or no cellphone and internet signal.
