"Lovely spacious room, with largest bath we’ve had. Bed and pillows (unusual husk ones, which were firm, unlike most of the too squishy ones elsewhere!) were comfortable; Buffet breakfast was great. Very convenient to station and garden, and lovely view of the little canal nearby. Staff were helpful, and friendly, and we took up a suggestion to go to Kurashiki Bikan, which we enjoyed. "Location was a easy 10 minute walk from the train station. Check in was a breeze, staff super helpful and all this while there was some drama going on with a European guest. The room was generous by Japanese standards and the AC was perfect. During my stay, the housekeeping staff was very attentive.The rooftop onsen was wonderful. I have come to count on Dormy Inn properties as a go-to in Japan. "

"I loved my stay at this hotel. Yes, the hotel is old and outdated for sure, but it is kept clean. My room was small, but the bed was bigger than expected. The free, hot breakfast was very nice. Many dishes (not only eggs and sausages but also cooked vegetables, meat, miso soup, etc.). But due to the breakfast area being small, the line was long. It was really close to Okayama Station. There are two convenience stores nearby (Lawson and Seven-Eleven). Lots of restaurants around. Some front desk people should be more friendly. I don't know if I want to return with my family, but the hotel catered to my basic needs (traveling alone). "
