Unfortunately, my experience was overwhelmingly negative from check-in to check-out, and I feel compelled to share the details in hopes that they will be addressed seriously.
Upon check-in, I discovered that the bed sheets in my room were stained. I immediately requested that everything be changed, which was done. However, when I asked for the bathroom to be cleaned including the tub, toilet, and sink the housekeeping manager declined, insisting that the bathroom had already been cleaned prior my arrival. If my bedsheets weren’t changed I don’t believe the bathroom was cleaned throughly as well. Only the towels and washcloths were replaced. Changing towels does not equate to cleaning a bathroom, and this response was completely unacceptable.
Additionally, I witnessed extremely unsanitary practices at the pool bar and Daiquiri station. Used plastic cups were being reused without being truly cleaned. I had a dirty cup. I asked one of the bartenders about this, and they politely confirmed it, even noting that many guests bring their own cups or use the bar in the lobby instead. This is a clear health hazard and not up to standard for any hotel.
On my final morning, I had another troubling experience at the breakfast buffet. I asked an employee named Mauro if he could assist me in finding a seat near the glass with a view. Instead of helping, he was hostile and called me a Puta somethings under his breath. The manager Deanna Estrada was no help as well when I told her.
