The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that the rooms do not have a deadbolt, chain, or other way for someone inside the room to lock the room so that a hotel employee with a key cannot enter. "Very quiet, no sulfur smell. It's right on the lake and you can watch the sun rise every morning. Be aware some of the rooms are actually 2 rooms joined together! They don't advertise this well. I was unpleasantly surprised to find I (traveling solo) had booked 2 hotel rooms! The manager seemed really reluctant to do anything until I escalated my complaints to the owner. "Wonderful 2 night stay in the 2 bedroom apartment on this lovely property. The staff and service was outstanding. The apartment was perfect with two completely seperate bedrooms and bathrooms a common livingroom with small table and kitcehnette. Ideal for a family of 4 or two couples. Private jaccuzi, in unit washer and dryer and fantastic view of the lake. "

"This is an interesting spur of the moment stay. Whilst it was 'off the beaten track' (its not) between the two Auckland beach suburbs, it was easy to find. Staff show'n'tell: 10/10. The Studio room was spacious, very modern and clean 10/10. Two firm beds (10/10). Aircon (10/10). A large shower. TV in room (9/10). Free parking onsite (10/10). Outside entertaining area available to sit and get eaten by the mosquitos :). Lovely place. I'd stay again. "

"The staff were incredibly friendly and the property is absolutely stunning. Very luxurious room and amenities. 15 min drive to all of the restaurants etc. Definitely would recommend to anyone staying in the area. "
